LONGVIEW, Wash., Sept. 14, 2009—Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging, Inc., today announced that Sarah Taydas has joined the company as corporate communications manager.

 

In this role, Taydas is responsible for internal and external communications for the company, as well as developing a strategic communications plan to support the organization’s mission, goals and objectives. She reports to Heidi Pozzo, chief financial officer.

 

“We are excited that Sarah has joined the company,” Pozzo said. “She brings a proven track record of successful communications programs and a wealth of expertise in consulting with business leaders to develop communications plans.”

 

Taydas joined Longview after serving as senior communications manager at Weyerhaeuser in Federal Way, Wash. She brings more than 15 years of communications experience, having worked in positions ranging from marketing communications to financial communications to employee communications. Prior to Weyerhaeuser, Taydas worked for Honeywell in Phoenix and Minneapolis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and journalism from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn.
