Multiwall Sack Paper
Longview Fibre is one of the largest suppliers of paper to the multiwall sack industry to produce bags for such things as cement, flour, dog food, and industrial products. Bags can be of many varied constructions to meet the needs of the end users.
The standard Multiwall paper grade meets Federal rules for shipping sack papers. U.S. bag makers are guided by these regulations that specify the paper weights and strength test requirements. Longview Fibre consistently meets the test requirements while maintaining excellent basis weight control through the use of high quality wood fibers, careful control of pulping, high consistency refining, and paper machines specifically designed for this product.
Longview Fibre is the only U.S. manufacturer of performance sack paper, which is sold under the brand name TEA-Kraft®. TEA-Kraft® is a premier kraft extensible-paper grade for cement and other multiwall bag uses requiring high-impact resistance. Longview's multi-million dollar investment in special equipment to make TEA-Kraft expanded the Company's extensible-product lines. The name "TEA-Kraft" (Tensile Energy Absorption) is derived from the test that measures packaging impact-resistance (combination of tensile stretch). TEA-Kraft's toughness helps bags retain integrity during rough handling.
